February 2021 Update

WRRA in collaboration with TCDC and Thames Seagull Centre are planning an E-Waste drive, date to be confirmed but we are keen to make this happen as soon as possible. This will be based on the highly successful model that ran in Thames in November 2019. A grant of $5,000 was received from the Waste Minimisation fund (Ministry of Education) and in total more than 13,000 kgs of E-Waste was collected. Where possible components were repurposed and recycled, and the rest disposed of properly rather than into landfill.

Items to be collected will be:
Computers and laptops
Printers and cartridges
Microwaves
CRT Televisions and monitors
Flat screen TVS and monitors
Mobile phones
Batteries

A complete list will be published at the time we run the drive.
