Local Alcohol Policy Review 2021
CLOSES: Mon 29th November 2021, 4pm
We’re seeking feedback on Council’s review of our Local Alcohol Policy. We are proposing to make no amendments and ‘roll over’ the existing Policy.

Thursday 21 October, 3pm until 7:30pm we will be hosting a face-to-face drop-in session at the Tairua Community Hall.
15 October until 19 November – please complete our online survey, it will only take a few minutes.

Climate Change Declaration
CLOSES: Fri 12th November 2021, 4pm
TCDC want your feedback on whether or not the Council should approve the Mayor signing the Local Government Leaders’ Climate Change Declaration.

We ask that you please leave comments for TCDC and don’t just check your responses to the pre-formed questions. Please comment on what you would like to see Council doing to contribute towards Climate Change mitigation (e.g. using electric/hybrid vehicles for the fleet, solar power generation, etc.)
Adapting to Climate Change: Online Meetings Now Available
TCDC need your input so we can prepare for the impacts of sea-level rise related to climate change. They are holding online meetings to update you on their Shoreline Management Project and to get your feedback on adaptation options like managed retreat or coastal protection.
If you own property in the Coromandel but live elsewhere, or if you have not been able to attend the public meetings, please join these online sessions.
High risk areas, such as Whitianga, Tairua, Colville and Thames, have been identified and TCDC need your input on the possible long-term responses.

Resource Consent Application – Publicly Notified
You can make a submission or object to applications with the Council for publicly notified resource consents. Those consents will be notified on this page.
Resource Consent Notification Pack – 44 Radar Road, Hot Water Beach
You can:
- read the policy and submit using TCDC’s online consultation portal at https://haveyoursay-tcdc.objective.com/kse;
- send an email with your submission to [email protected]
fax your submission through on (07) 868 0234 - complete a submission form and post it to Thames-Coromandel District Council, Private Bag, Thames 3540; or
- drop it into the area offices in Thames, Coromandel, Whitianga or Whangamata.
Submission forms and hard copies of the statement of proposal and the proposed policy are available at all area offices and libraries and online at https://tcdc.govt.nz/Have-Your-Say/Current-Items-for-Consultation/ (click on the link for which consultation item you wish to comment on and submission forms and supporting documentation are available to download from the right-hand side of the screen).
